What is Social Entrepeneurship?

Social Entrepeneurship is the work of a social entrepeneur. A social entrepeneur  sees a social problem, and use the principles of entrepeneurship to fix it. The term Social Entrepeneurship was invented during the 1960s. It was not until the late 1980s-early 1990s that the term was widely used. It started in the nineteenth-twentieth century. A few historic examples include Florence Nightinggale. Florence Nightinggale founded the first nursing school during the Crimean war. Another historic example is Robert Owen. Robert Owen formed the cooperative movement.
